Stage 1 of the popular long-distance hiking trail Hünenweg The Hünenweg begins at the 500-year-old town hall in Osnabrück, where the end of the Thirty Years' War was announced in 1648. From the heart of the old town, the hike initially leads through narrow streets to the banks of the Hase. After leaving the city center behind and crossing the 200-year-old rabbit cemetery, the route finally reaches the next river, the Nette. This remains a companion for most of the stage.
