Varied circular hike in the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park from Weigendorf. The hiking route leads over the Knappenberg, the Buchenberg and the "Höhle im Erdfall" to the Lichtenegg castle ruins. The ruins of the Höhenburg, which are well over 700 years old and freely accessible at all times, are enthroned on the 585 meter high castle hill and offer beautiful distant views of the Upper Palatinate. --- Accessible by bus and train
