This route is the 13th stage of the Altmühltal Panoramic Trail, a long-distance hiking trail in Bavaria. This section leads from Griesstetten (Dietfurt) to Riedenburg. The trail initially runs along the Main-Danube Canal and climbs via the Rosskopfsteig up a wooded hill offering sweeping views of the valley.
