Best trails near Sängerhäuschen

This is a very scenic hike that begins with an ascent to two lookout points with a wonderful view of Pottenstein. Follow the Elisabeth Trail to the Himmelsleiter observation tower. From there it goes on a path along a corn field down the hill to the Schöngrundsee. You take the access path on the north side of the lake, which leads directly to the Teufelshöhle. A 45-minute tour of the cave costs 5 euros.

This is the second part of the circular hike from Pottenstein to Teufelshohle (1) and back (2). After leaving the Teufelshöhle, take the path that leads to Entenstein, then go down the hill and on Jägerstieg 1 again to the other side. This trail leads past some very interesting rock formations and to a lookout point. From there you make your way to Elbersberg, where you come back to Pottenstein on the Jakobsweg.
