It is the first stage of the official route of the 2013 GORE-TEX® Transalpine Run from Oberstdorf (Bavaria) to Lech am Arlberg (Austria). This alpine trail leads through the Allgäu Alps over the 2,214-meter-high Fiderescharte and the 1,688-meter-high Schrofenpass to Warth in the Lech Valley. The route begins immediately with a strenuous climb, which is subsequently rewarded with a spectacular view.
