This route is stage 22 and the final section of the Maximiliansweg, a long-distance trail through Germany and Austria, beginning at the Zwieselalm and ending in Berchtesgaden. The path descends from the Staufen massif into the spa town of Bad Reichenhall, passing the royal gardens and historic architecture. The four “wheel stars” are the ideal routes for fans of the Berchtesgaden Alps. From Berchtesgaden there is a tour in all four directions. "North", "South" and "East" can be dealt with without any problems. Much more demanding, however, is the “Radstern West” through Schönau to Ramsau, up to the idyllic Hintersee and on to Taubensee.
