Padjelanta/Badjelánnda National Park is the largest national park in Sweden, with rounded mountains and large lakes surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It is home to the Sami reindeer herding groups, who have their summer grazing grounds within the park. Visitors may be lucky enough to witness the marking of reindeer calves during the bright nights. Padjelanta/Badjelánnda is part of the Laponia World Heritage Site, which includes other national parks and nature reserves in the area.

Although the national park consists of many lakes, fishing is only allowed in lakes that are less than 1 km from the hiking trails in the national park.

In addition, it is not allowed to bring dogs into the national park, except for leashed dogs during the period from January 1 to April 30.
