The Orange River weaves through the park carving out a gorge with incredible views. The park offers walking paths, picnicking areas, viewpoint areas, and wildlife viewing. Like many South African parks, this park offers unique opportunities to view wildflowers and other rare plants.

The self-guided trail begins at the park's main camp and takes hikers on a circular route that moves from one geological feature to the next, taking in the Potholes, Swartrante and Moon Rock.

You will more than likely spot the hike's namesake – the klipspringer, or rock jumper, a small antelope that makes rock jumping effortless. Reserve the Klipspringer Hiking trail in advance by calling SANParks Central Reservations. The hike takes a maximum of 12 people.
