The Orange River weaves through the park carving out a gorge with incredible views. The park offers walking paths, picnicking areas, viewpoint areas, and wildlife viewing. Like many South African parks, this park offers unique opportunities to view wildflowers and other rare plants.

The Dassie Trail is very scenic. Prepare to get wet through river crossings. Dassie Trail is popular with families. The self-guided trail begins at the park's main camp and takes hikers on a circular route that moves from one geological feature to the next, taking in the Potholes, Swartrante and Moon Rock.

The circular hike's three days are divided into roughly equal distances – between 12.5 km and 14 km.
You will more than likely spot the hike's namesake – the klipspringer, or rock jumper, a small antelope that makes rock jumping effortless.
Reserve the Klipspringer Hiking trail in advance by calling SANParks Central Reservations. The hike takes a maximum of 12 people.

Excellent short hike with gorgeous viewing points. Nothing can beat this landscape. Taking photos at sunrise on one of the numerous lookouts is a definite must. The walkway to the falls is very well maintained. There are numerous platforms from which to view the falls and the river. Definitely a family friendly trail.

Augrabies Falls is a massive water fall which is very popular. It falls over a height of 90 m high roughly (with a 56m free-fall). It is said to be one of the five greatest on Earth. Down stream from these falls, courses through a thin, obviously wonderful 18m deep crack. The area around the fall is a protected National Park for the wildlife and unique vegetation.
