The Arnsberg Forest Nature Park in North Rhine-Westphalia has existed since 1961 and now covers 599 km². Here you will find wooded low mountain landscapes of the North Sauerland uplands such as the Arnsberg Forest, the Warsteiner Hügelland and the Plackwald.
In the nature park, you can hike many beautiful trails along Lake Möhne or various Möhne and Ruhr tributaries, visit the mixed forest with its wildlife or discover mysterious caves such as the Bilstein Cave or the Hohler Stein Cave. From various viewing towers (Lörmecke Tower, Küppelturm and Delecker Bismarck Tower) you can enjoy the view over the various nature reserves in the region.
