Best dog-friendly trails in Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park

The Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park was established in 2007 and is the 11th nature park in the state of Hesse, and its diverse landscape makes it ideal for premium hiking trails. There are currently 18 extra tours that offer expansive views and magnificent nature.

The varied landscape of the nature park is ideal for various hiking tours through extensive deciduous and coniferous forests, deep valleys and across different geological features with their diverse flora and fauna. You will find near-natural high-altitude forests with oak, beech and alder trees, rare meadow ferns, orchids and medicinal herbs such as St. John's wort, lady's mantle and arnica. The juniper heaths near Dautphe Simmersbach, Eibach, Dreisbach and Eiershausen are another special feature, and there are orchards at higher altitudes.
