Relaxed cycle path around the Chiemsee in Bavaria This route starts at the Chiemsee-Schifffahrt on the western part of the Chiemsee. The loop in this map is counter-clockwise; however, the way can be done in either direction. Fantastic bike tour in Chieming, Bavaria. In the nature reserve at the mouth of the Tiroler Achen, the circular tour also takes you around Lake Chiemsee. We recommend a visit to the Exter-Haus, please note the opening times. A large Exter collection can also be found in the old castle on Herrenchiemsee. This is an official hiking trail for the municipality of Grabenstätt. The road sign is white with a black frame, the number 35 and the path name.

The tour begins overseas and leads to Rottau. From there you go to the Steinlingalm directly under the Kampenwand. After a short break, past the small chapel, around the Kampenwand, towards the Piesenhausener Hochalm. !!Danger!! In this section, the bike has to be carried most of the time (approx. 1.5 hours) and you have to overcome a few meters of altitude on gravel and washed-out paths. So nothing for beginners, only something for experienced mountain bikers.
