The first 0.5 km of the trail is a wheelchair accessible boardwalk along the Waskesiu River. The remainder of the trail is of moderate difficulty and loops through the forest back to the starting point. There are lots of exposed roots so be mindful of your footing! The trail can be hiked as a loop or as an out-and-back using just the boardwalk portion.
In the winter, this trail is well packed down from moderate use, and sheltered from the wind, making even the coldest of days enjoyable!

The Fisher Trail is a loop trail near the Waskesiu Lake townsite. It winds through the forest and passes a pond, and is a beautiful trail to enjoy in any season! This is a nice easy hike for most people, with no poles required. The change in scenery from deciduous with brush undergrowth to pines with the moss floor is stunning, and will feel like you are walking in a Bavarian Forest. Super close to the townsite too.

Boundary Bog Trail is a loop trail that goes over a ridge and then descends through a spruce fen into a tamarack bog. The far end of the trail goes over a boardwalk beside the pond in the centre of the bog. On the return trip over the ridge, there is a viewing tower, though tree growth since it was built restricts the view from the top. An interpretive brochure is available at the trailhead, with corresponding labeled marker posts along the trail.

The trail is nice and wide with more than enough room for two people to walk side by side. The trail is normally well-groomed but it can have a few wet spots. The trail has several hills but for the most part, will be easy with very little elevation.
You will get the chance to move through forests, meadows, waterside trails, and even some small hills that lead to a highlight at the beautiful meadow about halfway through the trail. This is a popular region for wildlife viewing, so stay in...

Shady Lake trail can be found off of Highway 263. There is parking here for visitors who are driving. The route has some up and downs and is a well-marked and trodden trail that descends gradually to a beautiful lake. There is also beautiful groves of silver birch or aspen trees. Trail reviews for Prince Albert National Park
Nice little trail in the prince albert national park. The path is well groomed with nice boardwalk bridges across any rivers. There are a good amount of signs along the path, but after the 'Northend' campsite it is not very clear how to get to the Grey owl cabin. Follow the beach until the big white X and you'll see a very wide trail towards the cabin.
