Trail reviews for Kouchibouguac National Park
The trail is easy at first on the gravel bike path. It becomes more difficult once you reach the middle kouchibouguac 1.2km turn off. That's where the trail takes you into the woods, where it is very beautiful and scenic. The terrain changes alot throughout with changes in elevation and terrain so be sure to wear proper footwear, bring insect repellant, the mosquitos will swarm you otherwise, and dont forget plenty of water and snacks. This trail is more suited to avid hikers, it's not one I would bring my children on, but if you and your partner or friends want to tackle a great trail with a little challenge then this one is for you! It will leave lasting memories to be sure. Bring your camera cause this one doesn't disappoint.
Easy trail along the Kouchibouguac river. Almost alone the whole time, in a dense forest with the river constantly by our side. Lots of mosquitoes, though; repellent is strongly recommended.
