An enjoyable walk through Werakata National Park located in the Hunter Region of New South Wales - about 47 kilometres west of Newcastle. This out and back route begins from George Jeffery Park, in the small village of Kearsley.
Follow Caledonia Street to the edge of town, where you'll join onto Tomalpin Trail and make your way into Werakata National Park. Follow this for about 1.5 kilometres then take a left hand turn and follow the walking path as it meanders along Swamp Creek.

Starting just off Edward Street where this is a spot to leave the car. This winds through the bushland on single track with one section along the side of Edward Street to get back to the start. This is good for all skill levels and a great option if looking to ride alone as it is not the most frequented trail.
