Heathcote National Park is located in the southern region of Sydney on Dharawal land. Its landscape consists of rainforests, dry sclerophyll forest, ow heath rock formations, lakes and watercourses like Heathcote Creek, Kingfisher Creek and Myuna Creek. It is home to a variety of fauna like Sugar gliders, ringtail possums, Swamp wallabies, Honeyeaters and superb lyrebird plus flora like grey gum, scribbly gum, grass-trees, banksias, gymea lilies, blackbutts and grevilleas. It is a great place for hiking and camping.
A popular way of getting to the park is starting a route at either Heathcote or Waterfall train stations or walking in between them.
