Best trails in Garigal National Park
Garigal National Park is a stunning sandstone region located near Sydney, Australia. It offers breathtaking scenery, including views of the river, bush, waterfalls, and important Aboriginal sites and historic locations. The park is home to a unique variety of animals and plants, including the endangered southern brown bandicoot. Visitors can explore the park on foot using the network of walking paths or by riding a mountain bike on the fire routes. Fishing, boating, and canoeing are also popular activities along Middle Harbour Creek.

Trail reviews for Garigal National Park
Starting from the Acron Oval (free car park, toilets and drinking water available) I did a 19.6km walk (645m elev.gain). Cascades trail, Bare Creek trail, Cambourne track, Treeloppers Tip trail, Heath trail are wide trails shared with bikes so do not walk in the middle of the way. Small trails connect those big ones, they are not signaled but however well mantained and easy to follow. The Cascades trail brings you to “The Cascades”, a lovely area perfect for picnic where the two creeks meet and there are small waterfalls. It’s the starting point for the Middle Harbour track that in my opion is the best walking trail in the Garigal NP. The city view lookout next to the Acron Oval is obstructed by trees. You can find a clear view along the Double B trail (close to the Carrol Trig Station) No water and toilets available along the trails.
