This is an arduous day-walk or overnight walk through the beautiful Bungonia National Park, located about half way between Canberra and Sydney, NSW. Parking is available at the end of Bungonia Lookdown Road and there are also several caves nearby to explore.
The trail combines the Red Track (Slot Track) and White Track (Mount Ayre Track) with some off-track walking along Bungonia Creek. The reward for the steep descent and ascent is remote camping by the river and some great views.

Hard trail but we'll worth it. Sealed road access. Good parking. Plenty of camping spots near the Shoalhaven River junction from Bungonia Creek. Definitely need to be fit and agile as there's some very steep sections and boulders to cross.
