Best partially-paved trails in Oybin

Popular loop trail in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park, Saxony. With its almost 750 m above sea level, the Hochwald, known for its magnificent views, is one of the highest peaks in the Zittau Mountains. So it's not surprising that from the spa town of Oybin it's quite a bit uphill to the Hochwald. The route starts at the Teufelsmühle. First it goes to Oybin, from where you turn uphill to the Scharfenstein. From there it goes downhill again. You pass the Heideberg, which is not completely climbed. Instead, you come across a country road on the other side of which the remains of Karlsfried Castle can be found on a hill.
