Best hard trails in Wachtberg

Hiking trail "Rund um Wachtberg" of the Eifelverein, divided into 3 stages. Especially suitable in winter when the ground is frozen and the shoes stay clean. The western part leads through the apple orchards on dirt roads that can sometimes be sodden. The eastern part is the most beautiful landscape (with distant views of the Rhine). The tour was run through 3 day hikes.

Tour from Kottenforst in Bonn via Grafschaft to Altenahr. From there to Kripp and then along the Rhine back to the Kottenforst. The tour goes in the first part on mostly quiet side streets and farm roads through the fruit-growing area around Grafschaft. The area is full of orchards. The Ahrtalweg went from Altenahr for a few kilometers on the country road.
