Best hard trails in Mechernich

This route follows the traces of the Roman water supply. You will pass Roman aqueducts, ancient wells and reservoirs that used to provide Roman Cologne with the best Eifel water. In addition, a varied landscape awaits with charming brook valleys, rolling hills and dense forests.

Wonderful hiking stage from Mechernich, North Rhine-Westphalia. The beautiful tour begins at the Mechernich train station and first takes you through the idyllic village for a bit, before then going over forest, field and meadow paths. The stage ends in Scheven at the train station and there is also the possibility to travel back to the starting point by bus and train.
