This route is stage 2 of the Hermannsweg, a long-distance trail through the Teutoburger Wald. This specific section begins in Riesenbeck at the Westfalenstrasse and travels east to the town hall in Tecklenburg. The varied Waldauenweg, which lies in the middle of the premium hiking region "Tecklenburger Land", leads past rocks and meadows and through mixed beech forests over the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest.

The Teuto Loop Bevergerner Pättken around the "Nasse Dreieck" is a certified premium hiking trail of a different kind. Here, where the Mittelland Canal and the Dortmund-Ems Canal meet, you can take a wonderfully varied loop along the 100-year-old lock system Huckberg and turn through pretty Bevergern.
