Varied Loop in Hesse A varied round on the Eisenberg, the highest mountain in the Knüllgebirge. It goes over meadows and through rustling forests and you can find many historical and archaeological traces. From the Borgmann tower you have a good view of the Knüllgebirge landscape, the Habichtswald and the Kaufunger Wald.

Popular loop trail in the Knuell Nature Park, Hesse. This 12 km long loop begins in Gittersdorf. From here it goes via Obergeis to the Kreuzeiche and back through the forest. To get to the Kreuzeichen you have to climb an approx. 3 km long climb and then enjoy a rest in a hut. Once the motorway is crossed (tunnel). A short tour along the Breitenbach and Asbach brooks and along the Fulda and Geis rivers. You can also start the route wonderfully from Bad Hersfeld. It goes along the small Breitenbach, first over small fields that merge into forest meadows and finally flow into the forest. The path climbs steadily but not too steeply. Once on the ridge, leave the Hählgans farm with its idyllic location as well as the Stellerskuppe a few hundred meters from the path and soon cross the "Kurz Hessen" road...
