There are always wonderful views of the Ammersee. One of the most interesting places is the climatic health resort of Schondorf on the north-western shore. The Jakobskirche church, built around 1150, is a Romanesque tuff building with an impressive double storey. The former parish church of St. Anna dates back to 1499.
