From Zell am Harmersbach it goes via Biberach to the Schönberg (the busy B415 is only driven on for about 500 m). From there, a detour to Hohengeroldseck Castle is recommended. It continues via Reichenbach along the Schutter to Lahr. After Lahr you drive through the vineyards with beautiful views over the Rhine valley to Zunsweier and then through the Kinzig valley back to Zell.

From there the road leads to Roth and finally into the forest at the Schwedenkreuz. First the Schwarzenbachsattel is reached and from there it goes to the Brandenkopf. You can take a break and eat something in the local mountain restaurant before heading back to the starting point. It is advisable to obtain information about the opening times in advance.
