Best walking trails in Vaihingen an der Enz

Family-friendly loop trail in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park, Baden-Wuerttemberg. This is a nice walk north of Ensingen, mostly along the Schanzenweg and Burgweg. A worthwhile detour leads to the Eselsberg, where there is a lookout tower and a few remains of a castle stable leveled in 1925. Highlights of the hike: - Detour to the Eselsberg (optional) - Nature teaching garden - Geological window at Hubbühl

The path leads past many historical sites in Rosswag, including the old town center with the town hall, the Martinskirche and the Backhäusle. It goes into the Enzaue and up into the vineyards to the Weinkanzel with a beautiful view of the steep slopes of the Rosswager Halde.
