Best bike touring trails in Lörrach

This cross-border tour leads from Lörrach through the "Three-Country Corner" to the Rhine Side Canal (Grand Canal d'Alsace). The route follows flat, well-maintained cycling and hiking paths through the Wiese Valley and the Rhine Plain. A major highlight is crossing the border into France and enjoying the expansive views across the Rhine waterway. The trail is technically very simple and, due to the level terrain, is perfectly suited for an extended trip by bike or on foot.

The little tour of Alsace starts at the Lörrach-Stetten train station, but can just as easily start in Weil am Rhein or Basel. In France, cycle paths are often not signposted.
