The loop leads along rooty and partly rocky paths around the ruins of Hohenneuffen Castle. The walk is somewhat challenging in places, especially at the beginning on the Albrandpfad. It crosses meadows and fields and there are always great panoramic views. The start is at the "Ob der Neuffener Steige" hiking car park.
