This fairly short hike starts in Uttewalde where you can park. The route is not particularly demanding and quite short, making it ideal for families with children.
The trail heads out of the village towards the idyllic forest and then takes a sharp left onto the Schleifgrund and leads through the shady forest to the Kluftsteig. This is a rustic staircase ascent from the Uttenwalder Grund, which leads up to the Knotenweg. The trail continues gently but steadily uphill to its destination, the Kehllochscheibe. The Kehllochscheibe is a popular climbing rock.
