Through Uttewalder Grund to Teufelsgrund

Family-friendly hike to the Uttewalder Felsentor in Saxon Switzerland, Saxony. This hike can be reached by bus and train (Uttewald bus stop). For those arriving by car, there is paid parking at the starting point. Suitable for families with children, this hike leads through the impressive rocky landscape and fairy-tale gorges of the Uttewalder Grund. From the Bruno monument, the route leads via the Schleifgrund to the Uttewalder Grund until you reach the adventurous circular route through the Teufelsgrund with the Teufelskammer (Devil's Chamber). There you can take an even more adventurous detour to the Herring Cave. Return in a northerly direction along the Wettinweg, following the Zscherregrund to the junction with the Müllersteig. This leads onto the Brückwaldweg to the Kehllochweg junction, which leads back to the Schleifgrund.
