"Pearls of Saxon Switzerland" is a traditional sports hike in Saxon Switzerland. It is organised by the Klotzsche Hiking Friends of the TuR Dresden e.V. sports club. The hike connects sights (pearls) in Saxon Switzerland and offers different route lengths. The start and finish is in the town of Wehlen (car parks available and train journey/ferry crossing possible). The pearls on the 50 km route in 2021 include the Wehlener Grund, the Uttewalder Grund, the Schleifgrund, the Wesenitz valley, Stolpen Castle, the Scheibengrund, Hohnstein Castle, the Brand, the Polenztal, the Amselgrund and the Schwedenlöcher. Due to the length of the route and the difference in altitude, you should be experienced and have a certain level of fitness. Sturdy footwear is recommended in any case.
