Cycle Tour Treidlerweg - Lichtenhain Waterfall - Hřensko

The cycle route runs from the campsite on Treidlerweg in Königstein along the Elbe Cycle Route to Bad Schandau, into the Kirnitzsch Valley as far as the Lichtenhain Waterfall, then along the cycle paths into the Zahnsgrund valley and back along the Elbe Cycle Route to Schmilka and Hřensko. Back in Schmilka, take the ferry (subject to a fee) to the other side of the Elbe and follow the Elbe Cycle Route back to Königstein on this side of the river. Alternative starting point: Königstein or Bad Schandau railway station (S-Bahn S1). The Elbe Cycle Route is a tarmac cycle path on both sides of the Elbe. The route through the Kirnitzschtal valley follows the main road. Please note: the Kirnitzschtalbahn railway also runs here! Please cycle with particular care in this area and watch out for railway tracks as well as train and car traffic. The cycle routes within the National Park are not tarmac-surfaced, but are hard-packed gravel paths. Please cycle attentively and carefully here too, and watch out for walkers.
