Königstein - Taubenteich - Schöna

Varied cycle tour near Königstein, Saxony From Königstein, take the road along the Biela and the Cunnersdorfer Bach to Cunnersdorf (outdoor pool!). There you turn off onto the Taubenbachweg. Cycle along quiet forest roads to Schöna and from Schöna along the Elbe cycle path back to the starting point. After the long but gentle climb, you can take a break at the Taubenteich pond (recommended!) to recharge your batteries for a descent and two more climbs. Then it's on to the banks of the Elbe without pedalling! It's well worth stopping every now and then to enjoy the marvellous scenery. Accessible by bus and train. There are places to stop for refreshments.
