Varied circular hiking trail in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, Saxony.
The hike starts at the car park on the Schaarweg. Several waterfalls and, of course, numerous sandstone formations ensure that there is always something new to discover. The Kuhstallplateau is a particularly interesting place to explore, including the famous 11-metre-high "Kuhstall" rock gate and the adventurous ladder to heaven.
From the Kuhstall, follow the Räumichtweg trail to the Beuthensteig trail, from where the Flößersteig trail leads back to the starting point. The Flößersteig is one of the oldest nature trails in Saxon Switzerland and a great shady hiking trail, even on hot days.
