Charming and scenic circular hike in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains near Gohrisch, Saxony.
This varied circular trail starts at the Gohrischstein forest car park and leads along the former basalt quarry and Gohrischstein. It then climbs up to the Papststein table mountain. The effort is rewarded with a marvellous panoramic view. Sturdy shoes (and a head for heights) are recommended for this sometimes quite adventurous hike over steep steps and through crevices.
