Start in Hohenstein at the Polenztal car park.
The trail leads along the Polenz river to Porschdorf. You follow the Polenztalweg for the entire time. There are slight ups and downs but no significant differences in altitude.
At the end of the Polenztalweg, take a sharp left onto the Tiefen Grund, where a steep climb past the Frinzberg to the marvellous Brandaussicht awaits. Here you can stop off at the Brand-Baude (note opening times).
The trail continues past impressive rock formations and some great viewpoints.
