This beautiful circular route starts and ends at the hikers' car park on Rathener Strasse and leads to some of the most famous rock formations in Saxon Switzerland. Great views can be enjoyed at the Wehlsteinaussicht, for example. The paths around the Felsenburg, the Bastei, and the Schwedenlöcher are prevalent on sunny days and weekends. We recommend visiting during the week, if possible, for hikers who long for peace and setting off early for a hike. The way down into the adventurous, gorge-like gorge, the Schwedenlöcher, is through rocky alleyways, over 700 steps, and several iron ladders.
