Official Elbe Cycle Route D-10 (left-hand side) from Bad Schondau along the Elbe to where the river flows into the North Sea The Elbe Cycle Route begins at Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindleruv Mlyn) in the north of the Czech Republic and ends after 1280 kilometres in Cuxhaven at the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea. This cycle route follows the German course of the Elbe from Bad Schondau on the left bank of the Elbe. The long-distance cycle route in Germany is also known as D-Route 10. The Elbe Cycle Route passes through the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. The long-distance cycle route has been voted Germany's favourite long-distance cycle route by members of the ADFC for the 13th time in a row.
