Permanente RTF Mayen - Fröhliche Eifeltour (Offizielle Strecke)

Official permanent of the RSC Eifelland Mayen e.V. (can be ridden all year round, 2 BDR points). This permanent route takes participants from the start at the MHT petrol station around the centre of Mayen. On the outskirts of the town, it climbs past the "Thomashof" up the first ascent to the Cond. This is immediately followed by a short descent into the Elz valley to the tranquil town of Monreal, where the Löwensburg and Philippsburg castles tower high into the sky. Shortly afterwards, the route leaves the valley again in the direction of Anschau and Nachtsheim. On the following section via Boos, Retterath and Mannebach, the route becomes hilly as it alternates between short climbs and descents. In Lirstal, the route passes the Elz valley again and immediately leads up to Laubach. Via Urmersbach, Düngenheim and Roes, the route leads to Pyrmont Castle, where another short climb awaits after a descent. In Naunheim, almost all the metres in altitude have been covered and the route is now flat along the Maifeld cycle path back to Mayen.
