Wooded hike from the centre of Mayen. This hike leads from the centre of Mayen out into the forest areas to the west of the town. Here the route follows mostly well-maintained forest paths to the Mayen climbing forest, which is located just before Kürrenberg. The climbing forest provides some variety along the route and is great for a family outing.

Leisurely walk to the Eiterbach stream. The short circular walk begins in Mayen at Mayen West railway station. From here, it first leads to the Eiterbach stream and then back to Mayen's old town centre. Here we recommend a short detour via the Mayen weekly market to Genoveva Castle and the Obertor gate.
