RTF Mayen - 122 KM (Offizielle Strecke)

In addition to all the highlights of the two shorter routes, the middle distance of the Mayen RTF offers further scenic highlights such as the volcanic maars in Gemünden, Weinfelden and especially Schalkenmehren, which are passed at close range and invite you to take a photo break. At the end of the steep climb from Gemünden, you are rewarded with a panoramic view of the Schalkenmehrener Maar on the left and the Weinfelder Maar on the right. Finally, the route is largely flat through the Elz valley and the tranquil town of Monreal back to Mayen. This distance is also extremely attractive from a sporting point of view, as a cumulative 2000 metres in altitude have to be overcome on numerous smaller ramps and longer climbs. With flat sections and beautiful descents in between, there is plenty of variety and fun to be had.
