From the railway station, you first walk through the spa gardens, the old town of Winterberg and along the Way of the Cross around the Kreuzberg. You hike downhill on well-surfaced paths into the Orketal valley. The route then leads through the Helletal valley back to the starting point. Beautiful loop with good views. Dogs can run freely on the paths for the most part (with the exception of the town and the nature reserve).
