The circular route starts at the car park in Schmidt and leads through the beautiful landscape of the Eifel. It is well signposted with "Hiking trail no. 30" and was designed by the Schmidt branch of the Eifel Association. Along the way, marvellous views of the Rursee lake can be enjoyed.
Refreshments are available in Schmidt. It is advisable to have enough drinks on the way.
The hike can also be shortened by walking only one of the two loops.
