After visiting the church (St Mokka) & finding out about the national park, the route starts in the west on Monschauer Straße. After approx. 700 metres turn left into Klauser Weg, at the mountain hut and Klauser Weg take the path that leads to the left past Klaus and downhill into Rue des Rursees. Turn left across the confluence of the Schilsbach into an arm of the Rursee and past the former youth hostel of the Eifelverein to Woffelsbach (7.2 km). On the piste path to Rurberg and along the lakeshore to the national park gate (11.6 km). After this short stage, there is plenty of time to find out more about the Rur-Eifel and the Eifel National Park.
