The tenth stage of the Sauerland-Höhenflug starts in Küstelberg. The Höhenflug and Rothaarsteig run parallel for a while, but their paths diverge again at the Hillekopfhütte. The route leads up the Krutenberg with its unforgettable panoramic views. There are plenty of places to take a break along the way. The trail climbs steeply up to the Kahler Pön with its rare high heath landscape - here heathland and mountain meadows alternate with beech forests, and in autumn the heather blooms.
