Idyllic circular route in the Eifel National Park near Schleiden, North Rhine-Westphalia Signposting: T7 The circular route "Auf verschlungenen Pfaden" ("On winding paths") lives up to its name, as it leads along winding, steeply ascending paths through moss-covered forests full of spruce and oak trees. Near Wolfgarten is the place where the old fire watch tower stood until the fire in 2017 - one of several towers that used to be used to monitor the area in the event of a forest fire. Information boards about the local industrial history can be found along the Urft. There are some nice places to stop for refreshments in the area surrounding the route. There is also a shorter version, which is only about 4.5 kilometres long. Follow the signs for T7 ("kurz" - "short"). The start is at the Kurhaus, where there are car parks. The town is also well connected to public transport, so the train to Gemünd (Eifel) station can be taken and the hike can start from there. Highlights: - marvellous views - Kermeter - idyllic streams
