From the starting point at the town hall square, head southwards across the Schwarzach and then immediately onto Uferstraße. Cross the Döferinger Weiher pond in the direction of Elmesbierl. Following the markings, you reach Döfering. Pass the St. Ägidius church and reach the crossroads on the district road. Following the "Goldsteig" hiking trail, you reach Rhan via Mühlbierl. Once there, you can refresh yourself in the Rhaner Bad. You reach a wooded area via the village road running southwards, through the subway. The markings point along the edge of the forest along the Stations of the Cross to the Rhan forest chapel. From there, follow the same route back to the centre of the village. The path turns left at the village adventure centre and the playground. After the gravel path, head for the path alongside the main road. You then have to cross the Schwarzach. The route then continues along the Schwarzach to Schönthal. When you reach the Alte Chamer Straße, turn left, past the church and monastery and back to the starting point of the hike.
