From the starting point at Rathausplatz, head southwards across the Schwarzach and then immediately onto Uferstraße. Follow this together with the Schwarzachtal cycle path in the direction of Schwarzachtal. Pass under the bypass to reach the Wachsentratt forest area. The route continues over the northern slope of the Kühberg into the Schwarzachtal valley near Thuraumühle. Beautiful flower meadows, an old mill building and opportunities to cool off in the Schwarzach await the hiker. The route now follows the "Goldsteig" hiking trail until you reach Hussenbierlstraße. From here, turn left to the Hussenbierl chapel with views as far as the Schwarzwihr. You then walk through the village centre with St. Ägidius church. The way back is via the Elmesbierl, past the church and monastery in Schönthal.
