From the Hohenburg hiking car park (720m) on the trail to Lasseln (740m) past the "Mariaeck" signpost heading SE towards the Alpelwand. To the south of it, follow the Alpelgraben in an easterly direction up to the prospectively situated Alpel (1206m).
