The starting point is the church in Treffelstein. Via the main road, a short section of the Silberseestraße and field paths, the route leads to the Silbersee. The Silbersee circular hiking trail (Tb10) takes you along the reactivated power plant canal, past the nature observation station and a water wheel, which indicates the location of the former sawmill. At the centre of the lake, the markings point back to the starting point in Treffelstein via a dirt track.
