Popular circular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the tourist information centre, walk downhill towards Walching (Iglhaut bakery) past the Pfeiffer sports shop. After the Disco Taverne, turn left and pass the Hussiteninsel (Hussite Island), a small facility with hiking information and benches. Then walk left over the Schicherbach stream to Lamberg (cleared in winter). Cross the village, turn left after leaving the village at the Nk6 marker onto a field path and continue to the forest. From there, follow the Nk6 markings and continue slightly uphill in the forest. After leaving the forest, there is a marvellous view. Follow the path straight ahead until you come to a few houses after approx. 400 metres. Here you turn left through a farmstead, then left again following a path downhill to the edge of the forest. There you turn right at a high seat and after approx. 50 metres turn left into the forest. You then walk downhill in the forest following the markings until you reach a tarmac road. Here you walk along the road to the left for approx. 3 km, passing through the district of Schicherhof. After the village, turn left onto the Schicherweg to Lamberg. From there, follow the same route marked Nk6 back to the tourist information centre.
